Salud America! To Prevent Obesity Among Latino Children

salud america
Salud America! is a national program of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) that supports research to prevent and reduce the incidence of obesity in Latino children. Salud America! is currently considering submitted applications for research grants to promote the discovery of obesity prevention strategies that are tailored towards Latino youth. The 90 submitted grants focus on critiquing existing policies about their effectiveness and/or cultivating research that has strong potential to inform policy. 20 grant winners for this particular award will be announced in the beginning of July and each award may be up to $75,000. Findings from this research will bolster RWJF’s efforts to reverse the childhood obesity epidemic by 2015.
